Lathyrus vestitus var. alefeldii or Wild San Diego Sweetpea is a perennial plant that produces delicate pink and purple flowers from spring into summer. Low lying vines, these plants typically do not get above a couple of feet and can be found growing on the steep carved out slopes along the road near the entrance to the Park.
