Art In The Park children's art camp will return for a summer session at Mt. Helix Park the week of Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31 from 9 a.m. to noon. Join Penelope Quirk, local artist and President of Art Smarts, Inc., for another season of this unique, outdoor art experience atop Mt. Helix which features lessons in the use of pastel and watercolor mediums. The fee is $200 per week, per child, or $45 for a single day drop-in (supplies included). Enroll now. Easter Sunrise Service - No public event this year check back for live-stream link
This year will mark the 95th year that Easter sunrise service has been held in the Mt. Helix Park amphitheater, which was dedicated in 1925, and the 103nd year it has been held at the Park. Join the San Diego Astronomy Association on Saturday, July 25 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. for a free family-friendly evening of star gazing at the Mt. Helix Park Amphitheater. Parking and shuttle information will be posted closer to the event date. Bring your own telescope or view the sky through one provided by members of the San Diego Astronomy Association. Volunteers from the SDAA will be on site to help you interpret the night sky. Check the Astronomy Night page for updates.
