Each year, on the nationwide day of giving, known as Giving Tuesday, kind people in the community help Mt. Helix Park achieve something great in checking off a much needed financial item to help us better serve the community from our wishlist. 

 

Since we first participated in Giving Tuesday in 2022, we have had specific needs tackled and blessed, thanks to you!

• 2022 - Enough raised to purchase a utility cart

• 2023 - Enough raised to replace cameras, internet infrastructure, and communications with the gates that had stopped working.

• 2024 - We hope to install important, discreet, safety lighting for current evening programming, such as the string quartet performances, Christmas on Mt. Helix, or even for the morning of the Sunrise Easter service, 2nd longest running in the United States when everyone begins to arrive before sunrise. Our lighting sub-committee of talented volunteers has four bids and as we fine tune those for the final selection, it looks like we will need to raise $42,000 to do things properly that will be discreet, historic looking in nature, and last for decades to come.

• 2025 - We are raising funds to bring movie nights to the park. Our $20,000 goal will help cover the cost of a removable screen, projector, lighting, sound equipment, and other items needed to create a memorable outdoor movie experience.
